The earth and everything in it belong to me. Righteousness and justice form the foundation of my throne. Fire goes before me and destroys all my enemies. The mountains melt like wax in my presence and lightning illuminates my way. The great expanse of humanity, from the least to the greatest tremble before me. Every knee bows. Every tongue confesses; I am the Lord, the God of all creation. I change not. Yesterday, today and forever, I am the same. The beginning, the end, I Am. As I looked across the plains and cast my gaze over the vast seas, I noticed you. I saw you in the wilderness. I inclined my ear to you as you journeyed through the desert. I heard your cry in the dark valley. Your prayer for mercy pierced my heart as you sank down to the deep. I have missed nothing of your life. I was there at the start. I have journeyed with you throughout and I am here now. My grace reached you when you needed it. My tender mercy and loving-kindness carried you. I have been your strong tower and your mighty defender through the years, and I am still here.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.”
Psalm 24:1-2

Remind me to run to you; my strong tower and mighty defender
