Your time in the valley feels long and lonely. This hard path too much to bare. You’re battered and bruised from the fight. Weary from the relentlessness of battle, you would love to pack it all in, but you can’t. People are relying on you. You didn’t sign up for this though, and now you’re desperate to give up. Don’t quit yet, I’m here, with you. You don’t have to do this alone. Look, here I am. I will strengthen and sustain you. My grace is enough. My power is perfected in your weakness. It’s dark, cold and scary here, but this is where you get to see me do my best work in you and through you. Yes, through you. Even from this dark valley place, I can use you to help and encourage others. I know you just want to run away, but lean into my love. That’s how you get rid of the fear. You can do this. I’ll equip you to stay strong and walk boldly, even in the face of death and right in the middle of the mess. Put one foot in front of the other. With me, you can do something amazing today.
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
