Arise, shine my beloved, for your light has come and my glory has risen on you this day. The filthy rags you wrapped around yourself, I have removed. I have placed on you a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. My righteousness clothes you and I have crowned you with peace. Rise child from this place. Throw off those things that have held you back, the sin that has so easily entangled you and run with me. Forget the former things. Don’t dwell on the past. Look, I’m doing something new. Do you see it? I will give you eyes to see my way and ears to hear my voice. Your stubborn, hard heart I will replace with a new, soft heart, eager to do my will. See, I am making a way in the desert. I am bringing springs in the wasteland. Praise will ever be on your lips. Look and see. Be still and know. Quiet yourself and hear me. My will, my voice, my heart for you. I love you. Though the night felt long and you feel weary and worn, morning has come and a new day has begun. My mercy is new today.
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
