My child. There is grace enough for you here with me. I am slow to anger, rich in love and kind in mercy. My great love for you knows no end. My compassion toward you knows no bounds. Come deeper with me. Leave the shoreline my love. Come away from the shallow waters. Swim out with me into the deep. You think it’s beautiful from up there, high on the beach? Wait until you swim out here, until you dive down to the depths with me. You can’t see what I want you to see from there, you’ve got to come out here with me. Don’t be afraid. I’ve got you. I am with you. I’ll show you. I’ve always been with you. Out there, on the shore, we walked for miles and you learnt much, but it’s time to leave the shallow. Let’s go deep. I’ll teach you. I have equipped you for this season. You are ready for this moment. For such a time as this, I have prepared you. Step out in faith. Trust me and you will not fall. It feels scary, but I’m stretching you. I am enlarging your capacity and preparing you for growth.
“Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes in deep.”
Isaiah 54:2 (Berean Bible)
Ask God:
Where are you calling me to trust you in a deeper way?
Prayer:
Take me deeper Lord.
