You looked for me in the storm, but you could not find me. You wondered if I was there when the earth quaked, but you did not see me. You searched for me in the fire, but that’s not where I was. Quiet yourself and listen. Hush now racing thoughts. Be still and hear my voice. This is where you will find me. Here, in the stillness. Come close. Hear my gentle whisper. Be still, lean in and hear me. This is where I am. My presence will nourish you. I will sustain and strengthen you. Your food is found in doing my will. You discover the joy of an abundant life when you live by my word. My Spirit refreshes you and shows you the way. Streams of living water wash over you, flow in you and through you. Rise up and be refreshed. In humility you approached. You came bowed low. You surrendered your unclean hands, your hard heart and lying lips and I forgave you. I washed you my beloved. Look, you have clean hands. I gave you a heart of flesh and truth comes from your mouth. Let courage rise and feast now on my goodness.
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”
John 4:34
Ask God:
What is your will for me today?
Prayer:
Help me be still, that I may hear you leading me. Through your Spirit, let me do your will.
